Gifting...
We've found this to be one of the hardest parts of the wedding planning so far. Registries are certainly a practical way of sorting out wedding gifts, but we're not all that comfortable asking for stuff, especially since we already have a lot of what we need. The most important thing for us is to have all our special friends and family there with us. Some of you are old friends we've known forever, others are brand new friends. Our wedding weekend is a chance for us to thank you for the contributions you make to our lives and an invitation to journey with us into our next chapter. The best gift any of you could give us is for you to just be there with us. We really mean that! We are already asking you to give up a weekend, take a long drive and pay for food and accommodation: so please don't feel obligated to get us anything!
That said, we recognise that some of you will want to contribute something - so here are some options!

1. Helping hands with food prep:
In line with our vision of a community style wedding, we're going to need some helping hands for the food preparation, both in the week or two before and on the weekend itself. If you could commit to spending a couple of hours to chop/stir/taste in the kitchen, we'd really love that as your gift to us! Alongside are the meals where we'll need a hand. Mouse over the images for more information.

2. Honeymoon fund:
Our honeymoon is still something of a pipe-dream. But once we decide on a destination (see the poll on the right, suggestions welcome!) that is something that you could contribute towards. If you could sponsor us a train or bus ticket or a night's accommodation, or a meal or activity voucher (think scuba diving, game drive, boat trip, park permit, volcano hike, ski pass) or something along those lines that would be amazing!
Post wedding update:
We've booked our tickets to TURKEY! We're going for the month of September - suuuper excited Thanks for voting :)
3. Kitchen & Home:
If you would like to get us a more traditional gift, there are a few things that we would appreciate (mostly for our kitchen, and some home-making items). In some cases we have chosen a specific model or design, but where that is not indicated then feel free to find something you think we'd like. Most of the items below are available at Banks Kitchen Boutique, YuppieChef, Boardmans or Woolworths. Mouse over the images for more information.
If you'd like to get any of the listed items, please email Ariane, who will then update the item as "taken".
